This is one of the personal
portfolio tasks of the TELL course. In my post this time, will discuss some of
the previously collected glossary. I hope it can be useful for you guys.

Technologies (ICT)
Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) is referred to technologies that provide access to
information through telecommunications.
It is similar to Information
Technology (IT) but focuses primarily on communication technologies.
This includes the Internet,
wireless networks, cell phones, and other communication medium.
ICT commonly means more than its
list of components, though. It also encompasses the application of all those
various components. It's here that the real potential, power and danger of ICT
can be found. Although ICT is often considered an extended synonym for
information technology (IT), its scope is broader. ICT has more recently been
used to describe the convergence of several technologies and the use of common
transmission lines carrying very diverse data and communication types and
formats.

2. Backlinks
Why
it is important for you to create backlinks to your site:
1.
Improves Organic Ranking: Backlinks help in getting better search engine
rankings. If any of your content is getting organic links from other sites, that
content will naturally rank higher with search engines. Your goal should
be to create links to individual posts/pages along with those leading to
your homepage.
2. Faster Indexing: Backlinks
help search engine bots discover links to your site and crawl your
site effectively. Especially for a new website, it is important
to get backlinks as they help in the faster discovery and indexing of your
site.
3. Referral Traffic: One of the major benefits of backlinks is that they help get referral traffic. Usually, referral traffic is targeted and has a low bounce rate.

3. Mashup Application
Mashup is a technique by which a
website or Web application uses data, presentation or functionality from two or
more sources to create a new service. Mashups are made possible via Web
services or public APIs that (generally) allow free access. Most mashups are
visual and interactive in nature. A mashup is beneficial to developers
because it requires less code, allowing for a quicker development cycle.
Mashup frequently mentioned in the
same context as cloud computing and Web 2.0. This is because the previous Web
1.0 was more about simply getting online. In other words, they took what they
did offline and put it online. Web 2.0 implies greater collaboration between
websites, and greater interaction with website users. In fact, website might be
the wrong term; as more and more functionality is provided via the browser, Web
application is becoming a better description.
A great example of this is Google
Maps, which has spawned hundreds, if not thousands, of mashup applications.
These include applications that use Google Maps to rate areas in a city,
delineate points of interest, or show roads that are undergoing construction.
These applications take some of the functionality and data from Google Maps and
combine it with their own programming to create a new application.

4. Templates
A template is a starting point for a document that contains initial formatting options, settings, colours, layout and placeholders. A typical blank document begins with the "Normal" template, but sometimes it is a time saver, to begin with, a preformatted template when creating a more advanced document (such as a brochure or flyer).
The term template, when used
in the context of word processing software,
refers to a sample document that has already some details in place; those can be
adapted (that is added/completed, removed or changed, differently from a
fill-in-the-blank approach as in a form)
either by hand or through an automated iterative process, such as with a software assistant. Once the template is
completed, the user can edit, save and manage the result as an ordinary word
processing document. Word processing templates enable the ability to bypass the
initial setup and configuration time necessary to create standardized documents
such as a resume.
They also enable the automatic configuration of the user
interface of the word processing software, with features such as autocompletion,
toolbars,
thesaurus,
and spelling
options.
Word processing templates are
ordinarily included as a regular feature in most word processing software. In
addition, users of such software often have the option to create and save their
own templates, to acquire them from the original vendor of the software, or from
third parties.

5. Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
Virtual learning environment is web-based platform
for the digital aspects of courses of study, usually within educational
institutions. VLEs typically allow participants to be organized into cohorts,
groups and roles present resources, activities and interactions within a course
structure provide for the different stages of assessment report on
participation, and have some level of integration with other institutional
systems. VLEs have been referred to as electronic educational technology, or
e-learning.

Moodle is a learning platform that is designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalized learning environments. Moodle is a free and open-source learning management system written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License. With customizable management features, it is used to create private websites with online courses for educators and trainers to achieve learning goals. Moodle (acronym for modular object-oriented dynamic learning environment) allows for extending and tailoring learning environments using community sourced plugins.

Council Learn English
English British Council is a website
that made in England, that's why the name of this website is English British
Council. This Website gave many feature not just audio & video, this
website also have some games and article to help students study. You can also
get an online study in this website, with pay some money, we'll get an online
lesson such as Video Call with a British lecturer and you also can choose your
level such an intermediate skill or low skill. English British Council is a website
always open for 24 hours.

Mindomo
Mindomo is an
online collaborative mind mapping, concept mapping and outlining
software for visualizing and organizing information.
In addition, Mindmapping is a highly
productive method of visual brainstorming that you can use to plan projects or
to map out a knowledge base. Mindomo has an interface and feature set that
rivals other free standalone mind-mapping applications such as Freemind. Maps
are shareable but require you to register and login to save them. Teacher can
use it to train students' brain by doing brainstorm with this Web.

SuperMemo
SuperMemo is a software of learning
method that makes it possible to learn fast and retain memories for long
term because it helps everyone to create collections of information that would
like to remember and tests the knowledge about the memory of the
information. By understanding the memory, SuperMemo finds the optimum
timing for review of the learned material. Each fact stored in your collection
will have a unique pattern of review and repetition. SuperMemo is
available as an easy computer program for Windows, Android, iOS, web browser, and
more. Supermemo is based on the science of long-term memory. Besides simple
text questions and answers, the latest version of SuperMemo supports images,
video, and HTML questions and answers.
